Timber Garages

Timber garages are many
and varied in shape and form.
We can build a standard single or double garage
with up and over doors, or we can can build a custom
or bespoke design to your specification if you
have something a little more unusual in mind.

Don't forget, we can take control of the complete job,
right from the groundwork, to the very last fitting,
or if you prefer, we can liaise with your chosen contractor
and do as much or as little as you choose.

 

Timber garages can include as many (or as few) fixed windows to meet your requirements (please see our options page for more window ideas). A personal door is also a popular option requested by many.

Sussex Timber Building

As standard our timber garages use the popular 'Onduline' roofing system, and are constructed using 75mm x 50mm (3" x 2") framing and a choice of cladding from featheredge (weatherboard), T&G shiplap or T&G loglap. We now have a really chunky 8" Featheredge option if your looking for that rustic barn type feel.

Joinery made casement windows and doors can be fitted as an option to any of our timber garages, along with several roofing options including, felt shingle tiles, green mineral felt, composite slate tiles, or even clay or concrete tiles (see our roof options page).

Sussex Timber Garage Base Our timber garages are designed to be erected on at least 1 brick course on a concrete base**. We can do this for you, contact us for a no-obligation site survey.

**Buildings subject to local council building control regulations, may need a more complex footing.

Sussex Timber Single Garage A standard size single garage measures 18' x 10' (5.4m x 3.0m) and is fitted with a standard size 6'6" high by 7' wide 'up and over' door.

Sussex Timber Double Garage A standard size double garage measures 18' x 18' (5.4m x 5.4m) and is fitted with 2, 6'6" high by 7' wide 'up and over' doors.
